Job Title: Hardware Engineers
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Sector: Research and Development R&D - Hardware/Software
Ive heard the phrase research and development floating around a lot in the software industry this last year, but few companies actually hold to this or have loose definitions revolving around: short development lifecycles, greenfield projects or simply being the first team to work on a particular area of a business. Where did the true R&D roles go? Well
With this position, as part of a global leading research group, youll be joining a company responsible for taking patented ideas and building these into a physical product. They have a supporting hardware team that deals with embedded development and hardware design, and youll be working alongside these to prototype and build new products for their business area.
They have a huge market and are planning on doubling in size (currently ~20 Engineers, split between hardware and software teams) in the next 4 months, so there is plenty of opportunity to progress as the team expands.
With this being a role thats more traditional in R&D, youll be getting involved in a mixture of the following, but you can expect this to change and evolve as the product grows:
Working on physical products and taking the concepts of patents and IPs.
Prototyping, Matlab and LabVIEW
Mixture of embedded technologies, with autonomy on presenting what is best.
Brain Computer Interaction
I can discuss the product and projects in more detail on the phone, so please hit apply and/or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can set this up.
